3 FM), where hosts Dr.
Judy Kuriansky and Chris Jagger launched “Lovephones” five years ago, yesterday announced it is dropping the show to become “more music-intensive” and, not incidentally, to run less risk of offending listeners and advertisers.
“We’re reestablishing Z-100 as the place where people can tune in to hear the hits,” says Station Manager Jeff Dinetz.
“Having a talk show at a critical time broke up our sound.

Dinetz says that starting Feb. 3, Z-100 plans a “trailblazing” new show, hosted by Lucas and heavy on music.
Dinetz met with Kuriansky and Jagger yesterday to tell them the news.
“It was a good run for ‘Lovephones’ and we wish them all the best,” he says.
